Booking the Hall














So now you have read what Fetternear Hall has to offer and when the Hall is available, this is where you find out how to book the facility and the terms and conditions of hire.

Booking Process

  1. Select the date(s) you would like to book. Check the Hall Availability Page for the latest availability list.
  2. To make a provisional booking by phone, please call the Hallkeeper on 01467 643548, or to make your provisional reservation by e-mail, send the request to info@fetternearhall.co.uk.
  3. No matter which contact option you choose, we will send a booking form in the post to be completed by the hirer.
  4. Return the completed form, plus your hire deposit as explained on the form.
And that's all there is to it!


Booking Conditions

For the benefit of the Hall and its users, we have a number of terms and conditions for the hire of the Hall. We will send a copy of these with your booking form, but please take a moment to read through them now to ensure you can comply with the conditions.
  • 1. Let of Hall varies depending on the duration of your hire, as follows:

    In addition to the hire charge, electricity is charged at 25 pence per unit. Electricity readings will be taken at the start of the hire period and again at the end of the hire and the amount used will be deducted from the security deposit.
  • The balance of the security deposit will be returned following the hire, assuming the Hall is left in a clean and tidy condition with no damages to fixtures and fittings (i.e. in the same condition in which it was at the start of the hire). Should cleaning be required, this will be deducted from the deposit at a rate of £10 per hour of cleaning necessary. Additional costs will be sought for any loss or damage not covered by the deposit.
  • All rubbish is to be tidied up and placed in the large metal bin outside the Hall.
  • You are requested to acquaint yourself and all other users of the Hall connected with your event with the locations of all fire exits and fire extinguishing equipment.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any area within the Hall.
  • Booking cancellation. All bookings cancelled within four weeks of the start date will be liable for a cancellation fee of 50% off the basic Hall hire cost.
  • Licencing. The Hall does not hold its own licences for the sale of alcohol etc. Such licences may be obtained from Aberdeenshire Council and it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure all necessary licences have been obtained and that the associated legal conditions are met.
  • Personal Property. The Hall committee is not responsible for loss or damage of personal property or personal injury on the premises, including the car park area.
  • Hirers must take all reasonable steps to ensure the welfare of persons attending their event.
