1. I want to order, how can I get the clothes to you?
Fill out an order form and post the clothing directly to me with payment (see
Order section of the website). Alternatively, if you are local you could drop them off, or I may be able to collect.

2. When can I expect the piece to be delivered?
The piece of art will be with you within 21 days. Very often turnaround times will be shorter than this; if you need the item quickly, please let me know and I will endeavour to accommodate. P&P will be charged at cost price, but we may be able to arrange a free local delivery - please enquire for more details.

3. I'm not sure what size of canvas to pick?
I would recommend laying out your clothing on a flat surface and measuring it’s length and width. It’s then up to you how much canvas you would like around the clothing; this is of course personal taste, but I have found that leaving at least a small gap around the edge of the clothing and between each item seems to work best. Please note that the cost of the piece is based on size of canvas not the number of pieces of clothing or the design of the background.

4. I'm not sure which background to have, any advice?
Most people leave this to my artistic licence and generally I will coordinate colours/papers to the clothes to create an overall striking image. However, it’s your piece that you are commissioning, so please feel free to give your thoughts/ideas, name a colour scheme, or be very specific. Plain, papered or outlandish backgrounds are all options! See the
Gallery for some examples.

5. What do you use to treat the clothes?
I’m afraid the process that the clothing goes through is Kate and Sons’ secret! :-) However, I can tell you that the substance preserves the clothing and the piece should last forever - the clothes will be set on the canvas, they will be hard to the touch, making your clothing a unique, personal sculpture on canvas!

6. Any advice on keeping the piece clean?
Like any sculpture, an occasional simple dust or light clean with a soft bristle hoover attachment will suffice. As the clothing is set hard it will not attract or absorb dirt / dust, however I would not recommend using water on the art. The main product in the treatment will not degrade and I have had no issues with longevity of the art.

7. I have a unique item of clothing can you treat this?
I have treated most materials including cotton, nylon, wool, denim, leather, as well as fleece material and they have all have worked well. While I can't guarantee how the item will respond to the process, I have had nothing yet that has not worked! If you have any concerns please get in touch to ask; I will endeavour to try a similar sample of the material if I am sent an item in a fabric that I have never treated before.
